Thanks for giving MusiCatalog a try! You should find it easy to use and powerful enough to handle the largest and most diverse collections. When you're ready to register please return to our website, or fill out the included Register program.
As of now this software is only available for the Macintosh platform.
Requirements
Here's what you'll need:
• Macintosh or Power Macintosh with System 7.1 or greater
• 6MB free memory
• 6MB hard drive space
• Free font: Trebuchet (available from <http://www.phantasmicstudio.com/mc/>)
Getting Started
After you download (or copy from CD-ROM) you'll need to first decompress the files using Aladdin's free Stuffit Expander (or compatible decompressing utility). Unstuff the file musicatalog36.sit.hqx and save the folder MusiCatalog 3.6 ƒ to your hard drive.
MusiCatalog opens in Demo mode the first time you open it. If you have a registration code, you can enter it by choosing "Unlock" from the Scripts menu. See below for registration. If it isn't unlocked you're limited to fifteen entries and can't import, but otherwise it's fully functional.
To start entering your collection choose the "List" from the Menu screen. There are a few entries already there, but you can delete or change those and add yours. To look at an entry's details just click its name. To go back to the list, click the "List" button. Click "Menu" to go to back to the Menu screen. To make a new entry click the "New" button. Choose what type of artist it is, then enter the information. Click through the tabs along the left side to enter different types of information (like the songs, lyrics, sorting preferences).
To view the help system click the question mark button on most screens. To get an explanation of most fields, just click its label (in bold next to the field).
Shareware Info
MusiCatalog costs US$25. To register and receive the code to unock MusiCatalog, use the included Register program. Fill out your name, email address, and specify how you'd like to pay (check, money order, invoice, cash, credit card or First Virtual) then fill out the quantity of licenses you want to purchase.
Print out the form to mail, or save the file to send via email. See http://www.kagi.com for more information on the Kagi shareware payment system.
Once you receive the code via email, choose "Unlock" from the Scripts menu. Enter your name, organization (if applicable) and the password code you received from us, then click Continue. It will now be fully functional.
MusiCatalog may not be included on any CD-ROM, Web site, FTP site, or any other publicly accessible internet site or disk without permission. Please contact <info@phantasmicstudio.com> for more details. You may pass this program on to a friend or coworker as long as all files are included.
Upgrading
If you're upgrading from version 3.x the same registration code will work, but you'll still have to re-enter it. If you forgot or lost it, choose "Unlock" from your current version; the password will be displayed there. Place the old version in the same folder as the new one and choose "Import 3.x" from the Scripts menu to import your records into the new version.
